ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department is a combination of various Subjects like MATHEMATICS, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, ENGLISH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE. The department has seasoned and highly qualified and motivated faculty members who continuously focus to bring out the best in the students. The uniqueness of the department is that it is well connected and tied up with all the other programs offered in this institution.

The fundamental knowledge of Engineering, the base laid during the first year supports the core departments to build on with ease.

The faculty of English strives to improve the proficiency levels of the students through well-framed and practically possible pedagogies. Students are exposed to various language improving activities like role plays, group discussions, mock interviews etc., to improve their communication skills and soft skills.

The faculty of Physics help students to gain analytical skills. The curriculum is a combination of theory and laboratory and provides enormous opportunities for the students to enhance their knowledge and skills and to apply the concepts in practical situations.

The faculty of Chemistry carry out innovative activities along with the contents mentioned in the curriculum. The knowledge of chemistry helps the students to understand the global problems, thereby providing solutions to a majority of them.

The faculty of Mathematics helps the students to apply the mathematical knowledge to problem solving and engineering design tasks.

The faculty of Environmental Science ignites the students about earth and its resources. Students are not only informed about various environmental issues at local, regional and global level but also suggested different ways to deal with them.

The department continuously upgrades the knowledge and skills of both students and staff in various ways like workshops, seminars, conferences, guest lectures, and training programs. All the laboratories are well-equipped. The library houses umpteen books in all branches of Engineering. Journals, magazines, periodicals, and Newspapers are also accessible in the library.

All in all the department strives for the holistic development of the students.
