The department of Computer Science and Engineering Established in 2005, with an intake of 60. The intake of CSE has been increased to 120 from 2007.The Department Offers M.Tech program in CSE with an intake of 24, established in 2012 and intake increased to 48 from 2014.

The B.Tech program in computer science and engineering has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation [NBA] since 2013.Computers are essential in our daily lives, tremendous careers can be molded. Graduate and master level courses are loaded with rich content and offer ready career enhancements. The department is having spacious and well equipped labs, Upgraded from time to time and provides adequate opportunities for students to learn and innovate. The Department is having 36 faculty members including 2 Professors, 7 Associate Professors and 27 Assistant Processors.

1.Computer Programming Laboratory
Computer Programming laboratory is designed to familiarize students with the basic components of programming, so as to be able to initiate the students into the discipline of Programming Languages. Through this lab students get the ability to design, develop, test and document structured programs in C language. The expectation is that students will become self-sufficient in learning any programming language on their own thereafter.

2.Data Structures Laboratory
The main purpose is to study fundamental data structures, their design, implementation, efficiency and understand how the choice of data structures can lead to efficient implementations of algorithms in solving problems.

3. Design and Analysis of Algorithms Laboratory
Students will be able to solve problems which are algorithm based by using various design techniques. They will be able to apply prior knowledge of standard algorithms to solve new problems, and mathematically measure and compare the performance of different algorithms. They will be able to produce concise technical writing for describing the solutions and arguing their correctness

4. Object Oriented Programming Through Java Laboratory

This lab reinforces understanding of basic object oriented programming concepts (objects, classes and subclasses, methods) and their expression in Java. Students are able to analyze and design a computer program to solve real world problems based on object-oriented principles and able to write simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) interfaces for a computer program to interact with users, and to understand the event-based GUI handling principles

5. Database Management Systems Laboratory
The requirement of modern days is to have an automated system that manages, modifies and updates data accurately. This is achieved by a Database Management System (DBMS) in robust, correct and non redundant way. Through DBMS laboratory, students will get knowledge about the database environment and a way to manage data. Students are made familiar with Oracle Software. Students will also be trained to do certifications in Oracle and .Net Technologies.

6. Web Technologies Lab

The purpose of this lab is to develop the web applications through MVC architecture. The objective of the web technologies lab is to design web pages, client validations, server side scripting, data base connectivity. Through this lab the students can achieve an ability to design, implement and deploy static and dynamic web applications

7. Operating Systems Laboratory

The purpose of this lab is to provide a general understanding of the structure and key functions of the operating system. Compare and contrast the common algorithms used for both pre-emptive and non-pre-emptive scheduling of tasks in operating systems, such as priority and performance comparison.

8. Software Engineering Laboratory
In this lab, Students will be capable to acquire the generic software development skill through various stages of software life cycle. Student will also be able to ensure the quality of software through software development with various protocol based environment.

9.Object Oriented Analysis and Design Laboratory
The purpose of the case tools lab is to understand the application of case tools, which focuses on software engineering activities further it, enables a clear understanding and knowledge of the foundations, techniques, and tools in the area of software design and its practice in the industry. This lab will prepare students to be leaders in software design.

10.Linux Programming Laboratory
The purpose of this lab is to get the knowledge about the client/server operating system through Linux Environment. Through this lab, students are made familiar with Open Source Technologies. Students will explore on Linux utilities and shell programming, which are very essentials for development of IoT applications and working with Hadoop Architecture.

11.Data Warehousing and Data Mining Laboratory
The purpose of the laboratory is to provide the knowledge on data pre-process, transformation and visualizations through machine learning tools. Students are made familiar with open source technologies. Through this lab students will get the knowledge on data mining techniques like data discrimination, classification, prediction, clustering and association rules for various types of problems. So that which makes the students to get the pre requisite level of knowledge for data analytics.

Dr.Shaik.Shakeer Basha  obtained M.Tech, Ph.D (CSE). Currently he is working as a Associate.Professor and Head of the Department of CSE in Avanthi  Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. He  is a young ,decent,dynamic Renowned Educationist and Eminent Academician  has overall 14 years of teaching experience in different capacities. He is a life member of  Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE). For his Credit he has 6 Research Papers published in Inter National Journals. He has conducted various seminars workshops and has participated several National Conferences and International Conferences. and Guided Under Graduate Level and Post Graduate Level Students for their projects.
